Cooper Test

What is the Cooper Test?

The Cooper Test measures an individual's cardiovascular endurance. This is the body's ability to efficiently supply oxygen to muscles during sustained physical activity, strengthening the heart and lungs over time. It was created by physician Kenneth Cooper in 1968. The test is performed by running as long a distance as possible within 12 minutes. The results are based on distance, age and gender. They are also usual to estimate your VO2 Max. This is the maximum rate of oxygen consumption during physical exertion.
