The Sarah Hammond Annual Memorial Fun Run

Sarah, who worked at Newham Leisure Centre, and was involved in athletics and running for most of her life, was a founder member of East End Road Runners. She sadly died in a tragic accident in August 1997 at the age of 24.

This annual 3 mile event is held as a means for friends and family to remember her in a happy way, celebrate her sporting life, and to help raise money for the charity that was close to her heart.

It is also a way for East End Road Runners to celebrate her lasting legacy.
