Over the years East End Road Runners has been involved in many different events, from organising its own Half Marathon in the late 1990s to helping Credit Suisse organise a local 10K, The Beckton Park Challenge, in 2011.
As well as organising races the club has also set up two local Parkruns at Wanstead Flats and Beckton District Park [south] where members will be seen on a weekly basis directing proceedings. Members will also frequently be seen helping marshal at Tessa Sanderson's West Ham Park 5K series, ELVIS events, and each year at the London Marathon and the London Triathlon.
Members have also helped at one-off events like The National Lottery Olympic Park Run and the club also supports the annual memorial fun run in remembrance of club co-founder Sarah Hammond.
As the club grows, it continues to think up new and exciting ways and events with which to challenge both its own members and those in the local running community.
